The XCaliber Data Library (XDL) provides the developer with an integrated Data Base Administrator (DBA) for implementing SQL Data Base access and Dataset management. XDL enables the developer to dynamically modify data base tables and automatically implements versioning of database tables. Three (3) levels of data protection are maintained for each database table: Primary, Duplex and Archive tables are simultaneously updated to provide availability and data recovery when needed. Datasets that are uploaded to XDL are stored in the XCaliber Repository and copied to backup tape at the same time to provide data recovery of non-database files when needed.
